THE WEEKEND

This fall season has been the most beautiful I can remember, not to mention the coldest. I tend to bring out a few items to cozy up the house for this transition. My holiday quilt and all the pine cones and woodsy things I've saved over the last couple years get scattered around the tiny apartment. I've already started receiving holiday cards and, though I usually don't like putting anything on my fridge, I don't mind showcasing these lovely greetings one bit.

What are some season-welcoming rituals you do around the house?

  1. Definitely adding some more blankets to the seating/beds, lighting candles, pulling out the heavier sweaters and hats, and definitely appreciate warm drinks.
P.S. That bedspread is gorgeous. I think I need it.

  3. That quilt is great. I always take full advantage of the holiday drinks at Starbucks and make a tradition of Christmas movie nights-in the as soon as Thanksgiving is over! :)

  4. Burning more fires in the fireplace. Drinking the most perfect black tea with vanilla & cinnamon from Trader Joes. Following a Japanese tradition my hubby and I make Kadomatsu to put at our front door. I love your quilt by the way, so cozy!

  7. I would really really love a quilt that like - is it handmade? I can't live without my scarves in winter, best cozy feeling in the world! We also use our heating ALOT at this time of year, so our flat is always toasty :)
